Context
In Sweden, some healthcare nurses are responsible for visiting patients receiving treatment at home. However, taking notes by hand is difficult to track, and scheduling recurring visits becomes cumbersome.
Problem
How might we help nurses schedule and record home care visits in a portable and efficient way?
How did we* deliver the solution?
We*: Teamwork including Business Analyst (myself), UX designer, Software Engineers and Product owner.
Day 1
-
We agreed on a long term goal and sketched a map on the nurse’s journey (figure in next slide).
-
We spoke to few experts and formed our How Might We (problem statements).
Day 2
-
We had lightning demos where all of us shared our ideas.
-
All of us sketched a solution (4 step sketch) followed by a voted decision (figure in next slide)
Day 3,4,5
The chosen design was implemented as a quick prototype by UX designer and we tested with users online.

Reflections and Skills
-
Learnt to adapt sprint methods under tight timelines while managing expectations and outcomes.
-
Realised the importance of validating feasibility early to avoid unusable or unrealistic solutions.
-
Understood the need to break down large-scale designs into manageable, implementable chunks.
-
Gained experience initiating and shaping the direction of a new large-scale project.
Note: This was just the beginning, many more features were implemented beyond the initial sprint.
